James Cameron’s Avatar continued it’s dominance at the box office this weekend earning another $48.5 million bringing it’s 4-week total to $429 million. The movie now ranks as the highest grossing release of 2009 surpassing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen which now ranks #2 with $402.1 million. With more than $1.3 billion worldwide, Avatar currently ranks #2 on the all-time list behind Cameron’s Titanic ($1.8 billion).

In Lebanon, Avatar also continues its dominance over the box office with more than 100,000 admissions since its release on the 17th of December.
