Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov will produce a big screen adaptation of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter based on the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith. The news comes in conjuction with the release of the book.

The story reimagines Lincoln as a vampire assassin, out to avenge the murder of his mother by vampires when he was only a boy. Her death becomes the catalyst for “a path of vengeance that lead[s] him all the way to the White House.”
